Call Me Chihiro Trailer Reveals Kasumi Arimura In Her First Netflix Drama Movie, Set To Be Released Next Year. It is directed by Rikiya Imaizumi (Just Only Love, His His and Little Nights, Little Love) and the script is co-written by Kaori Sawai. The film is based on Hiroyuki Yasuda's Chihiro-san manga, which ran in the Elegance Eve manga magazine from 2013 to 2018.
It tells the story of a former sex worker named Chihiro who works at a small bento shop in a seaside town. There, she interacts with people whose mental scars and struggles prevent them from living happily, and her words and actions influence each person's way of life.

In the trailer, we see that Chihiro used to work as a prostitute. She passed through a seaside town and ate bento there at Noko Noko Bento. She liked the food so much that she decided to settle in the seaside town and work at the bento shop. She now greets customers with a smile and chats with them.
She doesn't even hide the past from her and talks with customers and townspeople about various problems. It is through her conversations that she comforts them. However, Chihiro herself suffers from loneliness, which is related to her family and her childhood. But through her relationship with various people, she also faces her loneliness and tries to change her life for the better.
She advises everyone to live as her heart desires and the world will change accordingly. But does she really believe in it herself? We will have to find out, as Chihiro will take us on a healing journey where she will learn about herself and help others in the process as well.
The film is scheduled to premiere on February 23, 2023 on Netflix.
