The Bogman became a conservationist, specializing in Flow Country, a stretch of flooded marshes, where people are not supposed to want to live. Bogman Palmjaguar, as he likes to be called, proved them wrong before moving to Sutherland to be a half-day bus ride away from his mother, who had taken up residence in a mental institution near Inverness.

The film consists of panning shots of a flat, dull, wet field, irritating trick photography, footage of the elderly protagonist as a good-looking schoolboy in Herts, and occasional sightings of a man trying to hide his face behind a feathered mask.
Excerpts from a longer interview are used as voice-over narration. This is difficult to understand. Visually, Luke Fowler's film takes a chance and loses. Intellectually, it leaves holes deeper than depression.
