Left Behind: Rise of the Antichrist 2023 Movie Review Trailer Poster Online

UK-based sales firm 101 Films Intl., part of Amcomri Entertainment, has secured the worldwide distribution rights to apocalyptic thriller "Left Behind: Rise of the Antichrist," the recently completed sequel to "Left Behind" by 2014, which featured the participation of Nicolas Cage. The film is available for the first time at the Cannes Film Market this week.

In “Left Behind: Rise of the Antichrist,” contemporary events are shown setting the stage for the return of Christ and the coming Apocalypse. The film follows the original characters and plots of the best-selling books, which were written in the mid-1990s and have sold more than 80 million copies in multiple languages, but have been updated.

Director: Kevin Sorbo
Writers: Paul Lalonde, Jessica Parker, John Patus
Stars: Kevin Sorbo, Neal McDonough, Bailey Chase

“Left Behind: Rise of the Antichrist” is directed by and stars Kevin Sorbo (“Hercules: The Legendary Journeys”), one of the most recognizable names in the multi-billion dollar faith-based film industry; Neal McDonough (“Captain America: The First Avenger”); Corbin Bernsen ("LA Law"); and Bailey Chase (“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”). The film also stars Greg Perrow ("Sleepy Hollow") and Sarah Fisher ("Degrassi: The Next Generation").

“Left Behind: Rise of the Antichrist” is written by Paul Lalonde, John Patus, and Jessica Parker. It is produced by Lalonde, Michael Walker, Ed Clydesdale, James Quattrochi, Jason Wan Lim and John Duffy in association with AMCOMRI Entertainment Inc. and Stonagal Pictures Inc.

The film is set roughly six months after “Left Behind,” which follows a group of people left behind after millions of people suddenly vanish into thin air. The prophesied Great Tribulation has begun, and as Satan's false messiah, a man the Bible calls "the Antichrist," begins to weave his web of lies, everyone must choose a side, and the stakes have never been so tall.

“We are incredibly excited to globally produce, finance and distribute ‘Left Behind: Rise of the Antichrist. We have a very successful history with this phenomenal franchise and we look forward to continuing that journey. Since our recent public listing of the company, we have dramatically increased our investment in film production and this film represents a significant part of our upcoming slate,” said Robert Price, CEO of Amcomri Entertainment.

Andy Lyon, CEO and Managing Director of 101 Films Intl., added: “We are very pleased to have the opportunity to distribute this highly anticipated film. There is a huge global audience of many millions eagerly waiting to see what happens in this next chapter. The state of the world today means this film is particularly pertinent to fans old and new alike and we look forward to bringing this exceptional film, directed by and starring the incredible Kevin Sorbo, to our many clients at Cannes.”

A Minecraft Movie 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

If you were to throw a bucket in Hollywood today, you could easily find a dozen video game adaptations in development, either as TV series or movies. They're all vying for the same thing: critical acclaim, huge box office revenue, or a sudden surge in streaming subscribers thanks to established fandoms. But it's a long shot: Will they become a "Borderlands" movie flop or a "Last of Us" hit? Next month, Legendary Entertainment, Warner Bros. Pictures, and Microsoft are going for box office gold with a different kind of game-to-movie adaptation: "A Minecraft Movie." Director: Jared Hess Writers: Chris Bowman, Hubbel Palmer, Neil Widener Stars: Jennifer Coolidge, Jason Momoa, Emma Myers For the uninitiated, Microsoft-owned "Minecraft" is a sandbox game that immerses players in the Overworld, a whimsical dimension made up of blocky, box-like voxels. There's no single story or single way to play: users can craft items, build structures, ba...

The Hunting Wives 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Netflix has become a haven for shows about small towns rocked by crime. Last week, we premiered Untamed, where the residents of a town in Yosemite National Park became embroiled in a murder mystery after a girl fell from El Capitan. The show dealt heavily with grief, suicidal tendencies, abusive men, and the colonialists' negative feelings toward the Indigenous community. The Glass Dome told the story of a criminal psychologist who returned to her hometown to attend her stepmother's funeral and found herself involved in investigating a series of murders seemingly connected to her past.  Hound's Hill centered on a Polish author who returned to his hometown to come to terms with a crime he may have committed, only to discover that a serial killer is on the loose, killing the perpetrators—and his name could be next on the list. So, yes, when I watched The Hunting Wives, I completely understood why Netflix bought the rights to this show. What confuses me is, who is this series ...
