Evil Dead Rise Movie Review Trailer Poster Online

It's been nearly a decade since the last "Evil Dead" movie hit theaters. But luckily for fans of chainsaw action, possessed deer heads, and memorable one-liners, the wait is almost over. The fifth movie in the franchise is headed to theaters, and by all accounts, it's going to be a good time.

However, this is going to be a bit different from all the previous movies, different when it comes to the cast, the plot, the setting, and who the director is. Well, let's find out because things are about to get spooky as Warner Bros. Pictures has recently uploaded a new trailer for "Evil Dead Rise".

In the first two "Evil Dead" movies, we see this horror show unfold in a cabin in the middle of nowhere, with a group of young people trapped and possessed by sadistic demons. Of course, the big difference between the two movies is that "The Evil Dead" is pure horror, while "Evil Dead II" is a brilliant horror comedy.

Things get weird in "Army of Darkness" when franchise hero Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell) returns to the Middle Ages to battle an army of skeletons, and things get uglier than ever in "Evil Dead." 2013 when a group of friends try to help. a woman kicks her drug habit and decides to hide in a cabin and release the Deadites. But what will "Evil Dead Rise" be about? Will it follow the standard "Evil Dead" formula of a cabin in the woods, or get a little more creative in the style of "Army of Darkness"?

Well, this time, the Deadites are heading to Los Angeles and planning to wreak havoc on an apartment complex. As the official synopsis states (via Fangoria), "In the fifth 'Evil Dead' film, road-weary Beth pays an overdue visit to her older sister Ellie, who is raising three children alone in a small Los Angeles apartment. The sisters' reunion is interrupted by the discovery of a mysterious book in the depths of Ellie's building, giving rise to flesh-possessing demons and thrusting Beth into a paramount battle for survival as she faces to the most nightmarish version of motherhood imaginable."

So when can we expect to line up and buy some tickets (assuming our possessed hands don't fight back)? Well, we will see "Evil Dead" Rise in theaters on April 21, 2023, as announced via Bruce Campbell's Twitter account. The actor also shared a first-look photo from the film, which showed a grinning Deadite leering through an apartment's blood-soaked peephole.

Interestingly, when "Evil Dead Rise" is released in 2023, it won't be the only horror comedy that month. The film will compete against "Renfield," a film that centers on the titular familiar, with Nicholas Hoult as Renfield and Nicolas Cage as his master, Dracula. It will be interesting to see which mainstream horror comedy strays away.

The two people most associated with the "Evil Dead" franchise are the two who brought the series to life: director Sam Raimi and star Bruce Campbell. Without these titans of horror, we wouldn't have Ash Williams taking on undead monsters, cutting off his own possessed hand, or reigning supreme as the king of S-Mart. However, neither of them will reprise their original positions for "Evil Dead Rise." Raimi is not directing and Campbell is not starring.

So will these two be involved in "Evil Dead Rise"? Fortunately, the answer is yes. Both Raimi and Campbell will serve as executive producers (via Bloody Disgusting), along with Robert Tapert, who has been involved with the franchise since the first film. As for Raimi, he actually choose Lee Cronin to serve as the film's director.

They're all vying for the same thing: critical acclaim, huge box office revenue, or a sudden surge in streaming subscribers thanks to established fandoms. But it's a long shot: Will they become a "Borderlands" movie flop or a "Last of Us" hit? Next month, Legendary Entertainment, Warner Bros. Pictures, and Microsoft are going for box office gold with a different kind of game-to-movie adaptation: "A Minecraft Movie." Director: Jared Hess Writers: Chris Bowman, Hubbel Palmer, Neil Widener Stars: Jennifer Coolidge, Jason Momoa, Emma Myers For the uninitiated, Microsoft-owned "Minecraft" is a sandbox game that immerses players in the Overworld, a whimsical dimension made up of blocky, box-like voxels. The Hunting Wives 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Netflix has become a haven for shows about small towns rocked by crime. Last week, we premiered Untamed, where the residents of a town in Yosemite National Park became embroiled in a murder mystery after a girl fell from El Capitan. The show dealt heavily with grief, suicidal tendencies, abusive men, and the colonialists' negative feelings toward the Indigenous community. The Glass Dome told the story of a criminal psychologist who returned to her hometown to attend her stepmother's funeral and found herself involved in investigating a series of murders seemingly connected to her past.  Hound's Hill centered on a Polish author who returned to his hometown to come to terms with a crime he may have committed, only to discover that a serial killer is on the loose, killing the perpetrators—and his name could be next on the list. So, yes, when I watched The Hunting Wives, I completely understood why Netflix bought the rights to this show. What confuses me is, who is this series ...
