Chhatriwali 2023 Movie Review Trailer Poster Online

Chhatriwali is an upcoming Bollywood romance-comedy film directed by Ronnie Screwvala and Tejas Deoskar. The lead roles in this film are given by Rakul Preet Singh, Sumeet Vyas and Satish Kaushik. The film is scheduled to be released on 20th January 2023. Chhatriwali will be released in Hindi from India to the world.

Rakul Preet Singh is ready with her first release of the year, Chhatriwali. The actress, who has made several films with each other, is now headlining a film in which she takes it upon herself to educate the younger generation about safe sex. The newly released trailer shows Rakul as a simple girl, who doesn't believe in beating around the bush and becomes a teacher to educate school-age children about safe sex and reproduction. Director: Tejas Prabhaa Vijay Deoskar
Writers: Sanchit Gupta, Priyadarshee Srivastava
Stars: Rakul Preet Singh, Sumeet Vyas, Satish Kaushik

In the trailer, Sumeet Vyas asks Rakul why someone would wear protection during sex. She finds a loved one miscarrying due to unprotected sex and school textbooks that have male and female reproduction as electives. She defies school authorities not to teach sex education as an elective and begins holding sessions to answer questions related to sex. She also gathers housewives and educates them about protected sex.

Directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, the everyday life drama is set in Haryana and features Rakul as Sanya. Rakul was last seen in Doctor G in which she played a gynecologist.

Speaking about the film, Rakul said, “Chhatriwali was that dream project where I ticked all the boxes and now with the trailer I hope our hard work pays off as this film deserves special attention and credit. In today's patriarchal society, every home needs a Sanya who has the courage to single-handedly fight against all odds, traditions, social norms, and barriers."

Chhatriwali aims to convey the message about the importance of male contraceptives and safe sex, she added. "I hope this character inspires others to find their voice and speak out against unsafe sex and the many health implications of not using protection. Young people in India make up the majority of the population and educate them about safe sex and Sex education is the need of the hour, so I'm glad Chhatriwali is catering to them and everyone else in a progressive and entertaining way," said Rakul.

Sumeet Vyas, who stars opposite Rakul in the film, said that the film breaks down the wall of awkward silence around sex in Indian society. "Today's generation is curious about the word 'sex', 'intimacy' because there is always a feeling of 'silence' around those topics. Amid the mess of genres and stories, I'm glad the team thought on this powerful narrative -- and he delivered it with great sensitivity," he added.

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Chhatriwali will premiere on ZEE5 on January 20. It also stars Satish Shah, Dolly Ahluwalia, Rajesh Tailang, Prachee Shah Paandya, Rakesh Bedi and Riva Arora.

Heated Rivalry 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney wrote and directed the six-part series about two rising hockey stars who fall passionately in love. Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin entered the NHL in 2005. For more than 20 years, the Canadian star and his Russian counterpart have waged one of the greatest rivalries in the sport. They've won titles, medals, and scoring crowns, and both are still playing (with the same franchises that drafted them), having earned their place among hockey's all-time elite. Creator: Jacob Tierney Stars: Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, Callan Potter That's the underlying premise at the heart of HBO Max and Crave's new six-part romantic drama, Heated Rivalry, based on the book by Rachel Reid and written and directed by Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney. Don't expect many direct similarities to Letterkenny, though. Heated Rivalry may have some comedic elements, as relationships between passionate men are often entertaining, but it's a sincere a...

Dhurandhar 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

Dhurandhar's story unfolds against the backdrop of significant terrorist attacks in India, focusing particularly on harrowing incidents such as the hijacking of flight IC-814 in Kandahar in 1999, the Parliament attack in 2001, and the devastating 26/11 Mumbai attacks in 2008. The film depicts a daring covert operation led by the head of India's Intelligence Bureau, Ajay Sanyal, played by R. Madhavan. Structured in several chapters, the film introduces the viewer to a complex narrative that explores themes of revenge, sacrifice, and national security. The first half successfully intertwines traumatic real-life events with fiction, creating a thought-provoking plot that encourages audience...

Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

The ending of Kantara: Chapter 1 returns us to the original film, a sequence in which young Shiva wonders what happened to the well that physically existed there many years ago, when the Naga tribe lived in harmony with nature, only to be forced to endure the invasion and destruction of the land they were supposed to protect.  The film is a winding tale of three cultures, two of which seem to drive the story about class and greed similarly to the original film; however, the third element is the Kadapa tribe, a people who seek to appropriate the power of the deities for themselves rather than worship them. At its core, it's a film about unity. It's about bringing people together to merge tradition with contemporary ideology. Kantara: Chapter 1 takes us directly into the heart of the Bangra Kingdom, a prosperous state with trade and all modern amenities, but with a powerful and greedy king.
