Black Adam 2022 Movie Trailer Cast Crew

The long-awaited trailer for Dwayne Johnson's DC movie Black Adam has been released. Even before the film's release, Johnson had shared plenty of behind-the-scenes shots of the film's sets raising the bars skyward while revealing clicks of himself in an impressive superhero outfit.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, the film is set for release on October 21 and is being dubbed the game changer for the DCEU. In addition to Johnson, the film also stars Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Quintessa Swindell, Pierce Brosnan, Sarah Shahi, Uli Latukefu, Marwan Kenzari, Mohammed Amer, James Cusati-Moyer, and Bodhi Sabongui. It's set to bring to life a spin-off based on the popular movie Shazam! that was planned to have a Black Adam cameo in 2019, but Johnson made the executive decision to give the character his own speech.

As for the film's plot, the official synopsis reads, "Nearly 5,000 years after receiving the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods and just as quickly being imprisoned, Black Adam is released from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his might." unique". form of justice in the modern world".

In the comics, Black Adam is the yang to the yin of Billy Batson, a previous recipient of Shazam's sorcerous powers who was banished for 5,000 years after he abused them. In the movie, the same 5,000 year period is in place, but instead of Black Adam traveling back to Earth from a distant galaxy where he had been sent in disgrace, he apparently awoke from an ancient tomb. Maybe the CGI was just easier.

The weird thing here is that we seem to be introduced to Adam as a good guy, or at least someone with the potential to help rid Earth of evil forces, whereas in the print version the character started out as a bad guy. and only decades. later. he began to appear as a more positive figure. This probably has a lot to do with the fact that he's being played by Dwayne Johnson, Hollywood's leading muscle man now that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone are in their 70s.

Johnson seems to have been attached to the role for at least a couple of those five millennia, and now that he's finally here, "nearly 5,000 years after he was granted the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods and was just as quickly imprisoned." , Black Adam is released." from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash your unique power "form of justice in the modern world." The trailer is determined to show you that he's a different kind of hero, a serious one who happily kills his enemies... and doesn't care too much about pesky moral codes. I guess when you've been locked up this long, a little senseless murder doesn't register that high on one's list of indiscretions.

All will likely work out for the best when Black Adam lends a hand to the recently introduced Justice Society of America, perhaps as the black-ops-style blunt instrument needed by the likes of Aldis Hodge's Hawkman, Noah Centineo's Atom Smasher and Doctor Fate. by Pierce Brosnan. to help them save the day without raising their moral whistles. But it could cause problems down the line if Johnson prepares to take on Batson/Shazam or Superman.

A Minecraft Movie 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

If you were to throw a bucket in Hollywood today, you could easily find a dozen video game adaptations in development, either as TV series or movies. They're all vying for the same thing: critical acclaim, huge box office revenue, or a sudden surge in streaming subscribers thanks to established fandoms. But it's a long shot: Will they become a "Borderlands" movie flop or a "Last of Us" hit? Next month, Legendary Entertainment, Warner Bros. Pictures, and Microsoft are going for box office gold with a different kind of game-to-movie adaptation: "A Minecraft Movie." Director: Jared Hess Writers: Chris Bowman, Hubbel Palmer, Neil Widener Stars: Jennifer Coolidge, Jason Momoa, Emma Myers For the uninitiated, Microsoft-owned "Minecraft" is a sandbox game that immerses players in the Overworld, a whimsical dimension made up of blocky, box-like voxels. The Acolyte 2024 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

There are three main types of Star Wars stories. There's the kind where you write whatever you want and call it Star Wars, common in the many novels published in the 1990s. There's the kind where you recycle existing Star Wars stories and make them familiar; this has been the primary way of doing things at Disney. But finally, there are the stories that enthusiastically use Star Wars as a setting to create something new. There have been several novels that fit that profile, as did the first season of Andor, and now, four episodes in, it looks like the new Star Wars series The Acolyte, set a century before the movies, also fits the bill. in that category. . The Acolyte centers on a pair of twins, Osha and Mae (both played by Amandla Stenberg). The girls were raised by an unaffiliated coven of Force users, but despite living outside the Republic, the Jedi, including Carrie-Ann Moss's Indara, stuck their noses into these women's affairs, leading to the disaster. As a resu...
