Resident Playbook 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Resident Playbook is a spinoff of Hospital Playlist. While the original series finale offered emotional closure to its five main doctors, played by Jo Jung-suk, Yoo Yeon-seok, Jung Kyung-ho, Kim Dae-myung, and Jeon Mi-do, the creators of the new series have subtly hinted at the fate of two of them.

If Hospital Playlist felt like a warm hug from an old friend, brace yourself: Resident Playbook returns with that same gentle yet grounded energy. The highly anticipated series has kept viewers hooked since the day the trailer and character images were released. Premiering on April 12, 2025, this spinoff premieres new episodes every Saturday and Sunday on tvN, and viewers can stream it on TVING in Korea or on Netflix elsewhere.

Stars: Go Youn-jung, Kang You-Seok, Cynthia

The season will run until May 18, 2025, offering audiences 12 episodes of emotional chaos, real growth, and the connection that develops in the doctor's office. Set in the same world as the iconic Hospital Playlist, this new series follows a group of OB/GYN residents at the Jongno branch of Yulje Medical Center. While the department isn't the most popular in the era of declining birth rates, these young doctors choose it with a purpose. A heartwarming, funny, and deeply human story unfolds about friendship, pressure, and personal growth.

The main cast includes rising stars Go Youn Jung, Shin Si A, Kang You Seok, Han Ye Ji, and Jung Jun Won. And for longtime Hospital Playlist fans, there's a bonus: familiar faces like Yoo Yeon Seok, Jung Kyung Ho, Jo Jung Suk, Jeon Mi Do, and others will make brief but meaningful appearances.

Directed by Lee Min Soo and written by Kim Song Hee, Resident Playbook balances medical realism with the warmth of everyday life, a memorable drama that will make you feel like you're catching your breath amidst the chaos of life. Whether you enjoy medical drama, strong emotions, or warm, slow-forming friendships, Resident Playbook brings you all the thrills. It's a fresh perspective with a familiar twist.

As a sequel to the popular K-drama Hospital Playlist, Resident Playbook follows the vibrant and unpredictable lives of a team of first-year gynecology residents as they navigate their individual, challenging paths to becoming medical professionals at Jongno Yulje Medical Center.

The first trailer for Resident Playbook was released on March 26 and offers a glimpse into the hardships of the workday as residents at the hospital. The clip includes a heartwarming montage of the residents, who support each other in times of need as the newbies find their way.

Heated Rivalry 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney wrote and directed the six-part series about two rising hockey stars who fall passionately in love. Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin entered the NHL in 2005. For more than 20 years, the Canadian star and his Russian counterpart have waged one of the greatest rivalries in the sport. They've won titles, medals, and scoring crowns, and both are still playing (with the same franchises that drafted them), having earned their place among hockey's all-time elite. Creator: Jacob Tierney Stars: Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, Callan Potter That's the underlying premise at the heart of HBO Max and Crave's new six-part romantic drama, Heated Rivalry, based on the book by Rachel Reid and written and directed by Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney. Don't expect many direct similarities to Letterkenny, though. Heated Rivalry may have some comedic elements, as relationships between passionate men are often entertaining, but it's a sincere a...

The Hunting Wives 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Netflix has become a haven for shows about small towns rocked by crime. Last week, we premiered Untamed, where the residents of a town in Yosemite National Park became embroiled in a murder mystery after a girl fell from El Capitan. The show dealt heavily with grief, suicidal tendencies, abusive men, and the colonialists' negative feelings toward the Indigenous community. The Glass Dome told the story of a criminal psychologist who returned to her hometown to attend her stepmother's funeral and found herself involved in investigating a series of murders seemingly connected to her past.  Hound's Hill centered on a Polish author who returned to his hometown to come to terms with a crime he may have committed, only to discover that a serial killer is on the loose, killing the perpetrators—and his name could be next on the list. So, yes, when I watched The Hunting Wives, I completely understood why Netflix bought the rights to this show. What confuses me is, who is this series ...
