Directed by Girish Kohli, Crazxy proves that you don't need a big budget, a well-known production company to back the project, or a big star to make a good film. A good story is the foundation of any film, and I think half the work is done when a conflict arises that keeps the audience in suspense. So let's find out what happened in the film and if Dr. Abhimanyu Sood managed to save his daughter's life.
Dr. Abhimanyu was going to give 50 million rupees to the family of one of his patients. The patient, a 12-year-old boy, had to undergo surgery for gangrenous appendicitis, but due to the use of halothane, a general anesthetic, complications arose during the procedure. The situation spiraled out of control, and Dr. Sood was unable to save his life. The family blamed him for medical negligence upon learning of the halothane incident.

Dr. Nilay Majumdar, Sood's superior and apparently also the owner of the hospital, negotiated with the victim's family, and it was decided to reach an out-of-court settlement to save the reputation of Abhimanyu and the hospital. Sood had accepted money from his current partner, a business owner, and decided to bribe the victim's family to save his reputation. A few days earlier, Sood was supposed to deliver the money to the deceased child's family as compensation, but his cell phone was stolen.
At that time, in Crazxy, he had no idea that it was all part of a bigger scheme. Dr. Sood got into his car and was putting the bag of money in the trunk when he received a call from an unknown number. The caller told him that his daughter was in his custody and demanded a ransom of 50 million rupees, the exact amount of the compensation. For a moment, Sood thought someone was playing a trick on him. But that wasn't the case.
Sood called his ex-wife, Bobby, with whom he didn't have a very cordial relationship, and asked where his daughter, Vedica, was. At first, Bobby said that Vedica was safe, but then she called her school and found out that she wasn't there. Bobby became paranoid and asked Abhimanyu to pay the kidnapper and return their daughter to them. She asked for this as she wasn't sure whether Sood would actually pay the money to save their daughter or not. Sood didn't have any kind of emotional connection with his daughter, and there was a reason why he always treated her like she wasn't worthy of love.
Vedica suffered from Down syndrome, and Sood looked down on her and believed that she would never amount to anything in life. There were times when he explicitly told Vedica that she wasn't intelligent and simply didn't deserve his love and affection. Bobby repeatedly told him that Vedica's IQ was better than other children, but Sood could never truly love her. Sood may have been a pathetic father, but she was still his daughter, after all, and he wasn't cruel enough to let her die in captivity.
After speaking to the kidnapper, Abhimanyu Sood felt his voice sound familiar. Suddenly, seeing a photo of Vedica with her teachers, Sood realized the kidnapper was none other than Gurudutt Prasad. Prasad was one of those teachers who believed Vedica was destined to achieve great things in her life. To Abhimanyu, it simply didn't make sense; why would a teacher who loved Vedica so much do something so crazy? For a moment, Sood thought it was his wife who had orchestrated the whole thing just to extort him.
Sood's current partner also warned him not to entertain the kidnapper, as he needed to use that money to pay the patient's family and save his reputation. Sood and his partner knew that if the medical malpractice case went to court, he wouldn't stand a chance and would be found guilty without a doubt. Sood's partner didn't think it was wise to risk his career and go save his daughter, with whom he had no connection and whose existence he didn't care about. Eventually, Sood's partner told him she couldn't continue with a man hell-bent on ruining her own life.
The kidnapper wanted to play with Dr. Sood. He kept several jute sacks filled with all sorts of things, so Sood had to open them all to find out where Vedica was. Sood saw that in one of the sacks, there was a bottle of fake blood and all sorts of other things to make the kidnapping look real. Sood couldn't understand what Prasad was up to or why he was harassing him.
The ending of "Crazxy" revealed something shocking—something Sood hadn't even imagined. It was Vedica, Sood's 16-year-old daughter, who had faked her own kidnapping to prove to her father that she wasn't as incapable or stupid as he thought. This girl had sought her father's approval since birth, and it hurt her deeply when he said all sorts of nasty things to her. She told her father that even though she had Down syndrome, it didn't mean she didn't deserve to live. Sood couldn't hold back her tears as she realized the mistake she had made.
He apologized to his daughter and assured her that he would change his ways and never look down on her again. The girl told Sood that by putting her through this ordeal, she wanted her to realize what she was capable of. She had turned to her favorite teacher, Prasad, for help, knowing he would understand her perspective. In a heartbreaking moment, Vedica told her father that she loved him, despite his flaws. Dr. Sood understood that his daughter was mature beyond her years, and I believe that from then on, he would do everything he could to improve their relationship.
