The cartoonist and his armadillo friend are back! A few days ago, Netflix dropped the trailer for The World Can't Bring Me Down and fans couldn't keep their cool. It is an Italian animated series based on the graphic novel by artist Michele Rech aka Zerocalcare. In 2021, the streaming platform released Tear Along the Dotted Line, which gave us an insight into the complex worlds of our characters.
Our protagonist is back in his neighborhood. But things are no longer the same. Fortunately, he has Armadillo to give all the updates. In the trailer, Armadillo tells him that there has been an anthropological mutation. Teenagers have bigger thumbs, right to work, and instability. His animal friend advises him not to get emotionally involved in anything that lasts longer than an episode of comedy.

Our protagonist is overwhelmed to learn about such drastic changes. He tries to keep things together, but nothing goes right. Even the official description mentions how he goes out of his way to help.
The Netflix trailer for This World Can't Tear Me Down also gives us a glimpse of the dysfunctional society Zero exists in. While this may be a common trope on most shows today, we'll navigate in later sections how This World Can't Tear Me Down deviates from the basic nature of said show.
The Italian animated show will stream on Netflix on June 9, 2023. The dark comedy series will have 6 episodes.
