God Is a Bullet 2023 Movie Review Trailer Poster Online

God Is a Bullet is a two-person action thriller with an extremely close connection to a dangerous and violent cult. Detective Bob Hightower and fugitive Case Hardin set out to infiltrate the cult in question; Hightower to track down his kidnapped daughter, and Hardin to find the closure he desperately seeks after his brave escape. Loosely based on author Boston Teran's novel of the same title, God Is a Bullet will be an exciting watch. Here's everything we know so far about God Is a Bullet.

God Is a Bullet centers on Detective Bob Hightower, a man torn apart when a dangerous and insidious cult murders his ex-wife and kidnaps his daughter. When Hightower turns to the police force for help, he quickly becomes frustrated by the inexperienced and botched nature of the investigation and resolves to take matters into his own hands.

Director: Nick Cassavetes
Writers: Nick Cassavetes, Boston Teran
Stars: Jamie Foxx, Ethan Suplee, Maika Monroe

Using the years of experience accumulated during his time on the force, Hightower quits his job, undergoes a startling physical transformation, and sets out to infiltrate the cult to reach its charismatic but maniacal leader, Cyrus. Hightower joins his mission with The Ferryman, an intellective social outcast, and Case Hardin, the cult's only female escapee desperate for closure. Hightower and Hardin try to reclaim everything the cult took from them.

According to the trailer for the movie, God Is a Bullet centers on Detective Bob Hightower (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), who finds his ex-wife murdered by him and his daughter kidnapped by an evil cult. When he turns to the police for help, he feels helpless due to the nature of their investigation and the carelessness with which they approach discovering a victim.

Determined to take matters into his own hands, he plans to infiltrate the secret cult on his own. He soon meets Case Hardin (Maika Monroe), the only female fugitive from the cult who murders everyone he kidnaps. Bob and Case meet up with The Ferryman (Jaime Foxx) to undergo an amazing transformation in order to blend in with the cult and defeat their leader, Cyrus (Karl Glusman), before it's too late.

God Is A Bullet assembles a bulletproof cast to avoid missing out on viewers. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau stars as Detective Bob Hightower, who goes on a quest to find his daughter kidnapped from him. While you probably recognize him from his role as Jamie Lannister on Game of Thrones, he's also appeared in several other hit movies and TV shows, including Gods of Egypt, Oblivion, Nightwatch, and Apple TV+'s The Last Thing He Told Me.

Additionally, Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx and actress Maika Monroe star as The Ferryman and Case Hardin, respectively, helping Detective Bob take down the cult. While the former is best known for his roles as Ray Charles in Ray, Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Django in Django Unchained, the latter rose to fame with hit movies like The 5th. Wave, Independence Day: Resurgence and Vigilante.

Karl Glusman, best known for his works Gypsy, Greyhound and Nocturnal Animals, will play Cyrus, the main antagonist and leader of the cult. The film also boasts some impressive supporting cast, including Ethan Suplee, January Jones, Jonathan Tucker, Paul Johansson, Garrett Wareing, Samantha Lockwood, and many others.

Heated Rivalry 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney wrote and directed the six-part series about two rising hockey stars who fall passionately in love. Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin entered the NHL in 2005. For more than 20 years, the Canadian star and his Russian counterpart have waged one of the greatest rivalries in the sport. They've won titles, medals, and scoring crowns, and both are still playing (with the same franchises that drafted them), having earned their place among hockey's all-time elite. Creator: Jacob Tierney Stars: Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, Callan Potter That's the underlying premise at the heart of HBO Max and Crave's new six-part romantic drama, Heated Rivalry, based on the book by Rachel Reid and written and directed by Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney. Don't expect many direct similarities to Letterkenny, though. Heated Rivalry may have some comedic elements, as relationships between passionate men are often entertaining, but it's a sincere a...

Dhurandhar 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

Dhurandhar's story unfolds against the backdrop of significant terrorist attacks in India, focusing particularly on harrowing incidents such as the hijacking of flight IC-814 in Kandahar in 1999, the Parliament attack in 2001, and the devastating 26/11 Mumbai attacks in 2008. The film depicts a daring covert operation led by the head of India's Intelligence Bureau, Ajay Sanyal, played by R. Madhavan. The film delves into the underbelly of Karachi, particularly the dangerous Lyari region, following the journey of Hamza, played by Ranveer Singh.  Hamza is introduced as an Indian agent who infiltrates Karachi's notoriously violent gang culture to dismantle terrorist operations from within. Structured in several chapters, the film introduces the viewer to a complex narrative that explores themes of revenge, sacrifice, and national security. The first half successfully intertwines traumatic real-life events with fiction, creating a thought-provoking plot that encourages audience...

Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 2025 Movie Review Trailer Poster

The ending of Kantara: Chapter 1 returns us to the original film, a sequence in which young Shiva wonders what happened to the well that physically existed there many years ago, when the Naga tribe lived in harmony with nature, only to be forced to endure the invasion and destruction of the land they were supposed to protect.  The film is a winding tale of three cultures, two of which seem to drive the story about class and greed similarly to the original film; however, the third element is the Kadapa tribe, a people who seek to appropriate the power of the deities for themselves rather than worship them. At its core, it's a film about unity. It's about bringing people together to merge tradition with contemporary ideology. Kantara: Chapter 1 takes us directly into the heart of the Bangra Kingdom, a prosperous state with trade and all modern amenities, but with a powerful and greedy king.
