MISSING 2023 Movie Review Trailer Poster Online

If you loved the computer screen thriller Searching, starring John Cho, you're in luck. A standalone sequel will hit theaters next year. If you're ready for a new story that takes place entirely on a computer, Missing should be on your watch list.

Deadline confirmed in 2019 that a sequel to the John Cho-directed film was in the works. The film began development in the spring of 2021. The former's director and co-writer Aneesh Chaganty returned as a writer, along with co-writer Sev Ohanian to pen the story. The script for the new film was written by Nick Johnson and Will Merrick. The duo also directed the sequel, showcasing the creative team behind the former playing musical chairs for the roles of the latter. Get ready to be a cyber detective as we travel back into the world of quests and share everything we know about its sequel.

Directors: Nicholas D. Johnson, Will Merrick
Writers: Aneesh Chaganty, Nicholas D. Johnson, Will Merrick
Stars: Nia Long, Amy Landecker, Storm Reid

Prior to the trailer, little had been revealed about the plot. The trailer offers a better look at what fans can expect from the second installment. June's (Storm Reid) mother, Grace (Nia Long), is heading to Columbia with her boyfriend, Kevin (Ken Leung). While June is having a party and spending time with her friends, something sinister happens to her mother. When she goes to pick up her parents at the airport, Grace doesn't show up.

Armed with little knowledge of what's going on, June reports that her and Kevin's mother are missing and tries to unearth the truth. She takes her mother's disappearance to the US Embassy, but she is not happy with the speed at which her investigation is progressing. She decides to take matters into her own hands, using the TaskRabbit GoNinja impersonation to have someone at Columbia do the on-the-spot investigation for her.

Much like Searching, things seem to fall apart as secrets about Kevin and Grace are revealed. Ominous voicemails, blocked email accounts, alternate names and more are uncovered as June and investigators delve deeper into the cause of her mother's international disappearance. What is hidden under the surface? Will Grace return or will the search for June be in vain?

Storm Reid is June, the teenager trying to figure out why her mother didn't come home from a trip to Columbia. Reid is known for her roles in A Wrinkle in Time and the popular series Euphoria. June's mother, Grace, will be played by Nia Long. The actress is recognizable for her roles in the Netflix movie Look Both Ways and the series Empire. Ken Leung (The Blacklist, Old) is Kevin, Grace's boyfriend, who may have some skeletons in her closet.

Joaquim de Almeida (Fast Five, Queen of the South), Tim Griffin (NCIS: New Orleans), Daniel Henney (The Wheel of Time, Criminal Minds) as Agent Parker, Amy Landecker (Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia) and Megan Suri ( Never Have I Ever, Atypical) have also been confirmed as cast members. Not all of his character names have been revealed, though the IMDb page lists a few. Griffin appears as James Allen, de Almeida as Javi, and Suri as Veena.

If you were to throw a bucket in Hollywood today, you could easily find a dozen video game adaptations in development, either as TV series or movies. They're all vying for the same thing: critical acclaim, huge box office revenue, or a sudden surge in streaming subscribers thanks to established fandoms. But it's a long shot: Will they become a "Borderlands" movie flop or a "Last of Us" hit? Next month, Legendary Entertainment, Warner Bros. Pictures, and Microsoft are going for box office gold with a different kind of game-to-movie adaptation: "A Minecraft Movie." Director: Jared Hess Writers: Chris Bowman, Hubbel Palmer, Neil Widener Stars: Jennifer Coolidge, Jason Momoa, Emma Myers For the uninitiated, Microsoft-owned "Minecraft" is a sandbox game that immerses players in the Overworld, a whimsical dimension made up of blocky, box-like voxels. There's no single story or single way to play: users can craft items, build structures, ba...

The Hunting Wives 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Netflix has become a haven for shows about small towns rocked by crime. Last week, we premiered Untamed, where the residents of a town in Yosemite National Park became embroiled in a murder mystery after a girl fell from El Capitan. The show dealt heavily with grief, suicidal tendencies, abusive men, and the colonialists' negative feelings toward the Indigenous community. The Glass Dome told the story of a criminal psychologist who returned to her hometown to attend her stepmother's funeral and found herself involved in investigating a series of murders seemingly connected to her past.  Hound's Hill centered on a Polish author who returned to his hometown to come to terms with a crime he may have committed, only to discover that a serial killer is on the loose, killing the perpetrators—and his name could be next on the list. So, yes, when I watched The Hunting Wives, I completely understood why Netflix bought the rights to this show. What confuses me is, who is this series ...
