Stella and Pearl belong to two different communities of Sneetches that are enemies of each other.
The story, narrated by a bird named David, revolves around two communities of Sneetches: the moon-bellied Sneetches and the star-bellied Sneetches. As their names suggest, the moon-bellied ones have a moon on their bellies, while the star-bellied ones have a star. These two communities don't get along and live separately, with a strict rule prohibiting any member of one community from entering the territory of the other.

However, there is one young Sneetch who thinks differently: Stella Sneedly. When her teacher asks her to recite an oath that clearly states they are better than the moon-bellied Sneetches, she asks a simple question: Have you ever even met one to come to that conclusion? That's a question that certainly sparks a lot of thought. Unable to find answers, she decides to seek them out herself.
With her little monkey companion, Bean, she heads to the shore hoping to find a moon-bellied Sneetch. Luckily, she finds another young moon-bellied Sneetch named Pearl Puddlesnuff. Pearl is completely different from Stella. She is shy and insecure, but together they forge a great friendship.
Stella even visits Pearl's house with a fake moon on her belly. Both Sneetches are intelligent and manage to invent wings to fly and a machine that allows them to create fake star and moon markings. But how long will they be able to keep their friendship a secret from the adults? Someday, it will be discovered. And the question is: Will the adult Sneetches accept each other? Will the two young Sneetches manage to unite them?
It was undoubtedly a charming film. It's ideal for children. The format is a musical, so there are lovely songs throughout. At the same time, the use of rhyme as a poetic device in the dialogues also enhances the overall viewing experience. As an adult, I enjoyed watching it. So, if you want to watch it with your child(ren), go ahead and have fun.
The animation is adorable. The yellow Sneetches with their moons and stars are absolutely adorable and you can't miss them. Even the voices are charming. The pace is fast, so it will capture your child's attention from beginning to end. The plot about bravery and unity is very well explained throughout the film through the actions of our protagonists, the Sneetches. All of this makes this sweet film a delight. Even the language used is simple and easy to understand. And keep in mind, simple doesn't mean bad. It's a good story, easily understandable for children. So get ready for your children to have fun with this amazing story.
