Too Old for Fairy Tales 2 2024 Movie Review Trailer Poster

Waldek, Staszek and Delphina are going to spend the summer holidays at Aunt Mariola's house in the mountains with Teresa and her new boyfriend, Piotrek. Piotrek is a well-intentioned boy who studies law and is a climbing enthusiast. He tries his best to bond with the kids but it's pretty embarrassing to watch. They arrive at Mariola's house and the first thing she does is grab the children's laptops so they can enjoy time outdoors.

She has a whole itinerary planned for them that includes watching her paraglide down the mountain. Piotrek and Teresa love each other and Piotrek plans to propose to her at the right time. He finds a good spot on top of the mountain, but the ring falls out of the box. The moment passes when Mariola slides in and Teresa mentions Waldek's father, who lives in the area. Waldek and Staszek secretly observe them and listen to this.

Director: Kristoffer Rus
Writer: Agnieszka Dabrowska
Stars: Maciej Karas, Patryk Siemek, Amelia Fijalkowska

Waldek never met his father and knows nothing about him, but this is his first chance to do something about it. Staszek tells him that Piotrek and Teresa will never willingly give him the chance, so he must look for it himself. They learn what area he is in. He lives there and his name is Krzystof. Delphina makes a plan so the kids can sneak out and find him while she covers for them at home.

They leave at two in the morning and wander through the forest until they reach a small town. They watch a fight between two men and are then chased by dogs to a cemetery. Waldek and Staszek spend the night sleeping there and wake up early the next morning to continue their journey. Delphina tries her best to make up an excuse at home, but Piotrek is the first to realize that he is lying.

The children continue walking up the mountain and pass a nature enthusiast with a video camera. He is surprised to see a bear that follows them into the forest. After crossing a river, the bear catches up to them and they head straight for a tree. Staszek can climb high but Waldek cannot and is within striking distance of the bear. The branch breaks under his weight and this scares the bear. Piotrek tells Mariola that the children went out in search of Waldek's father. They plan to go after them while Delphina keeps Teresa distracted at home.

The girls decide to spend a day at the spa and Teresa falls asleep instantly. The children discuss what Waldek will ask his father and come across a mountain man's cabin. He invites them to eat some sheep's cheese and his eccentric nature does not appeal to Waldek. He confronts him about abandoning his family, but the mountain man says he never had a family. He mentions someone else who escaped civilization and lives alone on the mountain so they ask him to take them there. Mariola is very hard on Piotrek but manages to win her over by showing her how much she loves Teresa. The children and the mountain man arrive at a fancy house with security cameras and automated doors.

Krzystof, Waldek's father, lets them in and welcomes them. He tells them that he is a video game designer and is currently working on a new project.

Krzystof is rude to Staszek and the mountain man, but Waldek is fooled by his kind act and wants to stay. Staszek and the mountain man return and run into Mariola and Piotrek. Teresa wakes up and looks for everyone, but Delphina gives her a good excuse to sit down and relax. While she watches television, she sees an interview with the nature enthusiast, and footage of her with Staszek and Waldek plays. She is angry that they lie to her and rushes to get them. After having car trouble, she steals a carriage and travels with Delphina to find her son.

Heated Rivalry 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney wrote and directed the six-part series about two rising hockey stars who fall passionately in love. Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin entered the NHL in 2005. For more than 20 years, the Canadian star and his Russian counterpart have waged one of the greatest rivalries in the sport. They've won titles, medals, and scoring crowns, and both are still playing (with the same franchises that drafted them), having earned their place among hockey's all-time elite. Creator: Jacob Tierney Stars: Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, Callan Potter That's the underlying premise at the heart of HBO Max and Crave's new six-part romantic drama, Heated Rivalry, based on the book by Rachel Reid and written and directed by Letterkenny veteran Jacob Tierney. Don't expect many direct similarities to Letterkenny, though. Heated Rivalry may have some comedic elements, as relationships between passionate men are often entertaining, but it's a sincere a...

The Hunting Wives 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

Netflix has become a haven for shows about small towns rocked by crime. Last week, we premiered Untamed, where the residents of a town in Yosemite National Park became embroiled in a murder mystery after a girl fell from El Capitan. The show dealt heavily with grief, suicidal tendencies, abusive men, and the colonialists' negative feelings toward the Indigenous community. The Glass Dome told the story of a criminal psychologist who returned to her hometown to attend her stepmother's funeral and found herself involved in investigating a series of murders seemingly connected to her past.  Hound's Hill centered on a Polish author who returned to his hometown to come to terms with a crime he may have committed, only to discover that a serial killer is on the loose, killing the perpetrators—and his name could be next on the list. So, yes, when I watched The Hunting Wives, I completely understood why Netflix bought the rights to this show. What confuses me is, who is this series ...

Steel Ball Run: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure 2026 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

The Netflix adaptation of *Steel Ball Run*—whose two-part premiere masterfully condenses the first two volumes of the manga—stands as a celebration of Hirohiko Araki’s creative clean slate. While *Steel Ball Run* serves as a highly recommended entry point into *JoJo's Bizarre Adventure* for newcomers, much of its value lies in a prior familiarity with the six-part saga created by Araki. And although the prospect of diving into such a vast and chaotic world may seem intimidating, that very familiarity makes the thematic brilliance of *Steel Ball Run* all the more poignant. Throughout its first six parts, *JoJo's Bizarre Adventure* told a fascinating saga centered on the legacy of the Joestar family. The franchise's seventh installment, *Steel Ball Run*, transports this globe-trotting adventure story to the United States of the 1890s. Araki has crafted a standalone narrative continuity that draws heavily upon the mythology already established within the *JoJo* universe.  Star...
