Jurassic World: Chaos Theory 2024 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

The Jurassic World movies, while fun, haven't been as well-received as Spielberg's original film (which still holds up more than 30 years later), but a surprisingly fun highlight of the Jurassic Park franchise was Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Netflix. series. The first season began with the idea that there would be a summer camp during the events of the first Jurassic World movie. However, when things went haywire, six children from the camp were accidentally left behind, and over the next five seasons, those children had to learn to adapt, survive, and depend on each other to survive being alone on Ilsa Nublar for a time. year and a half. Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous was a surprisingly good series among fans and critics alike.

The show gave us engaging characters, creative animation, lots of fun dinosaurs, and what I call "The Dave Filoni Clone Wars-ification" of the Jurassic Park franchise by telling a bunch of serialized stories to help fill the gap between the movies and expand . the history of the franchise. Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous introduced us to the sinister Mantah Corp, who wanted dinosaurs for their own nefarious purposes and led to the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Despite the show's satisfying ending, it's no surprise that Netflix wanted to keep this story going, so we have Jurassic World: Chaos Theory.

Stars: Paul-Mikél Williams, Sean Giambrone, Raini Rodriguez

At the end of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, Darius (Paul-Mikél Williams), Ben (Sean Giambrone), Yaz (Kausar Mohammed), Brooklynn (Jenna Ortega), Kenji (Ryan Potter) and Sammy (Raini Rodriguez) were able to stop the plans of Mantah Corp and escape from their island back to the mainland. Now nicknamed the "Six Nublares" by the media, they are almost pseudo-celebrities for surviving their ordeal. But in the six-year jump between the two shows, the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Jurassic World: Dominion happened and now dinosaurs are everywhere. The children are now in their teens, and while they are still a close-knit family, they also have tensions between them.

That all changes when one of their own is killed by a dinosaur. Former teen social media influencer Brooklynn left her life of viral fame behind to become an investigative reporter. The events of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous with Manha Corp have made him want to seek the truth and expose corporate corruption. Unfortunately, an Allosaurus attacks and kills her, causing the Nublar Six pain, and they become somewhat separated from her.

Darius, who worked for the "Department of Prehistoric Wildlife (DPW)", but after Brooklynn's death he secluded himself in a cabin in the woods. That all changes when Ben (who has become a paranoid college kid obsessed with the dark web) finds him and comes up with the theory that Brooklynn wasn't killed by a random dinosaur, but rather that someone wants to kill them all.

At first, Darius thinks Ben is just being paranoid, but after a group of birds of prey attack them at his cabin (and avoid his security traps), he begins to see that Ben might be right. After the gang gets back together, they realize they have a mystery to solve. They have to stop whoever is trying to kill them and they have to get justice for Brooklynn's death. Each of the Nublar Six is doing different things: Ben is in college (and swears he has a European girlfriend), Yaz lives on a "dinosaur-free" island and helps people deal with their PTSD, and trauma from dealing with dinosaurs (as she suffered from PTSD while on the island), Kenji opened a rock climbing business, and Sammy runs the family farm and looks after Bumpy, everyone's favorite loyal Ankylosaurus.

Throughout Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, the kids try to solve the mystery, but they also have predestined dinosaur attacks on them at every turn by Mantah Corp, who are trying to advance their new agenda. At the same time, the kids have to try to solve problems that have been going on for six years off-camera. Darius and Kenji had a fight after Brooklynn's death and were not in turns to talk. Sammy confessed it to his parents, who stopped talking to him. To make matters worse, Yaz is distant from Sammy, which is causing tension in their relationship. Throughout the ten-episode season, everyone goes through important character arcs and grows as a family. The writing of the show is very good and these characters feel even more alive and real.

One thing that will take getting used to in Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is the animation style, as it is significantly different from Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. Everyone's faces are softer. It's more like Pixar than Dreamworks, even though it's Dreamworks. Making Darius look like every other black teenager in animation (dreadlocks on one side, fade on the other) at this point is a stereotypical cliché. It's simply a stark contrast to the appearance of the children in the previous series.

That being said, the dinosaur animation and action sequences have never been better! We still get plenty of bloodless off-screen deaths throughout the series. And yes, there are many deaths! After all, it's no longer about dinosaurs on one island, but all over the world. And once again, Bumpy is great! We watched her grow from a baby into a 10,000-pound dinosaur that will take on the largest carnivore to protect Ben and the crew. Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is a great start to the next chapter in these characters' lives as they navigate a new world with new dangers and have to continue to rely on each other for safety and strength while trying to solve yet another problem. that only they can.

The Acolyte 2024 Tv Series Review Trailer Poster

There are three main types of Star Wars stories. There's the kind where you write whatever you want and call it Star Wars, common in the many novels published in the 1990s. There's the kind where you recycle existing Star Wars stories and make them familiar; this has been the primary way of doing things at Disney. But finally, there are the stories that enthusiastically use Star Wars as a setting to create something new. There have been several novels that fit that profile, as did the first season of Andor, and now, four episodes in, it looks like the new Star Wars series The Acolyte, set a century before the movies, also fits the bill. in that category. . The Acolyte centers on a pair of twins, Osha and Mae (both played by Amandla Stenberg). The girls were raised by an unaffiliated coven of Force users, but despite living outside the Republic, the Jedi, including Carrie-Ann Moss's Indara, stuck their noses into these women's affairs, leading to the disaster. As a resu...
