This documentary promises to open our eyes to the reality of the food we eat on a daily basis, and it is not good news.

Although the first thing that comes to mind when we hear the word “humans” is emotion, it is not a necessity of the human body. never was Food is the main requirement we need to survive; clean and safe food And the upcoming Netflix documentary Poisoned The Dirty Truth About Your Food, directed by Stephanie Soechtig, aims to show just how far from that we really are.
Today, when food products can be exported from one country to another, claiming that the food you eat does not pose a health risk is unfounded. All of us devour packaged food and eat at stores and outlets of famous food companies, without even thinking about where it all comes from. Not being pessimistic here, but the documentary will surely open many eyes as to the quality of food we have on a daily basis. And it's not good news.
Based on the US food supply (which is part of the global food supply chain), the documentary will show how consumers are tricked into buying food that is not the least bit safe. This results in illnesses resulting from eating foods that contain pathogens. Just about anything and everything from packaged strawberries to chicken is contaminated. And even if we're sure they're safe, our main assumption should be that they're not. But does that mean we stop eating? That's impossible.
Food companies treat food as a commodity, not something people eat to live a better, healthier life. In a world where money speaks for itself, profit trumps morality. If we think about it, we have been subjected to a falsehood that is based on our most primal need since the birth of our species (basically any species that needs to eat). It's up to the people to take action against this heinous crime by letting the government know, which apparently isn't doing anything about it despite various federal agencies investigating current food safety regulations.
History has shown that if the voice is loud enough, it will have to be heard. And the government will have to take a more adequate step to investigate the matter that is a threat to public health. We will learn about this subject from all angles, and perhaps it will help us realize that expensive food does not mean clean food and make us aware of the importance of having a proper diet.
